Touring Historic Princeton NJ &
Driving the Lincoln Highway in New Jersey
There's lots to see and visit in Princeton (including a University).
The Lincoln Highway is one of America's most iconic highways.
Conceived by Carl Fisher in 1912, the Lincoln Highway (LH) begins at
Times Square in NYC and ends in San Francisco (3,389 miles).
In New Jersey, the LH spans 63 miles from Weehawken to Trenton.
The majority of the route of the LH between Weehawken and Princeton
is now marked as Sate Route 27. The LH between Princeton and Trenton
is now known as U.S. Route 206.

This event included lunch at the legendary Nassau Inn Yankee Doodle Tap
Room, a private guided tour of historic Morven House and Gardens, a visit to
the Princeton Battlefield, a drive past Einstein's home and Drumthwacket.
If travel plans included heading south on Route 206 after the Princeton tours,
members had the option of stopping at the Lawrence Presbyterian Church
(1698) and having ice cream at the Purple Cow just across the street.
